Oven Barbecued Ribs

  1. Advance preparation:
  2. In Dutch oven, add salted water to ribs to cover.
  3. Cover pan; simmer until almost done, about 1 hour. Drain ribs.
  4. Place in shallow baking pan.
  5. In saucepan, combine 1 cup water, salt, ketchup and next 6 ingredients.
  6. Bring to boil. Cook and stir 5 minutes.
  7. Add onion and lemon.
  8. Cool.
  9. Spoon over ribs; cover.
  10. Chill up to 24 hours.
  11. Before serving, bake uncovered at 350u0b0 for 45 minutes.
  12. Baste often.
  13. Serves 4.
