Blueberry Streusel Cake

  1. Combine 1/2 cup sugar, margarine, lemon rind and egg; beat at medium speed for 5 minutes.
  2. Combine 1 1/2 cups flour and the soda; add to egg mixture at low speed.
  3. Pour batter into a 9-inch round pan.
  4. Combine remaining 1/4 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon flour, blueberries, cinnamon and allspice; tossing gently.
  5. Spoon over batter, leaving 1/2-inch border.
  6. Bake at 350u0b0 for 45 minutes, or until lightly browned.
  7. Cool 20 minutes.
  8. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  9. Makes 10 servings.
