Ham And Sage Burgers With Sautéed Gnocchi And Tomatoes

  1. Mix the ground beef, bread, egg and pine nuts. Season then form into 4 flat patties. Top each with 1 slice of ham and 1 sage leaf and secure with a toothpick.
  2. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a frying pan and sear the burgers, turning, for 5 mins. Meanwhile, heat the remaining oil in a separate frying pan and saute the gnocchi and tomatoes for 5-8 mins. Remove the burgers from the pan and keep warm. Add the Marsala and cream to the pan juices and simmer for 3-5 mins. Season.
  3. To serve, arrange the burgers, gnocchi and tomatoes on serving plates. Garnish with the pan sauce and shaved Parmesan.
