Turkey Piccata
- 1 (1 lb.) pkg. turkey breast slices
- 3/4 c. flour
- 3/4 c. butter
- juice of 1 lemon
- 1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms
- 1 c. dry white wine
- 2 lb. ground turkey
- 1 chopped onion
- 4 cans S & W Texas Style barbecue beans
- 1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes (with the juice)
- 1 c. chopped bell pepper or can use 3 Tbsp. dehydrated
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder (more or less to your taste)
- 1/2 tsp. cumin
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper (more or less to your taste)
- In a large skillet, brown turkey with onion.
- Drain fat. Place meat mixture in a large crock-pot and add remaining ingredients.
- Mix all together well.
- Cook on lowest setting for 8 to 10 hours.
- Stir well before serving.
- Stores well for up to a week, if you have it around that long!
