Quick Rolls

  1. Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water.
  2. In large bowl or dishpan, combine Crisco, sugar and salt.
  3. Pour the 1 1/2 cups boiling water over Crisco, sugar and salt; stir until Crisco melts and let cool until lukewarm.
  4. Add dissolved yeast and beaten eggs. Add 4 cups flour; stir and add remaining 2 cups flour.
  5. Knead into soft dough; if dough is real sticky, add a little more flour until you have a soft dough, but not stiff.
  6. Form into a large ball; lightly grease the top and let rise at a warm temperature until double in size.
  7. Slightly punch down and make into rolls, not too big, a little larger than a golf ball.
  8. Grease tops.
  9. Let rise to double in size.
  10. Bake at 325u0b0 to 350u0b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
