Hearty Meat Chili
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 None onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 lb ground beef
- 16 oz jar tomato pasta sauce
- 14 oz can Mexican beans
- None None sour cream, fresh cilantro leaves, cooked rice and tortilla chips, to serve
- Heat oil in a large frying pan on high. Saute onion and garlic 2-3 mins, until onion is tender. Add cumin, coriander and paprika. Cook, stirring, 1 min. Add beef. Cook 4-5 mins, breaking up lumps with the back of a spoon, until browned. Stir in tomato sauce and beans. Simmer gently, stirring, 5-10 mins, adding a little water, if needed. Season to taste. Top with sour cream and cilantro leaves. Serve with cooked rice and tortilla chips.
