Hoisin Braised Short Ribs

  1. Preheat oven to 300u0b0F.
  2. Combine hoisin sauce, stock, sugar, ginger, garlic, star anise, orange juice, orange zest and chili in a large shallow baking dish. Add ribs and turn to coat. Cover pan with foil and bake for 2 hours.
  3. Flip ribs over, cover and return to oven for another 30 mins, or until tender. Remove ribs from dish and cover to keep warm.
  4. Pour braising liquid into a medium saucepan then skim fat from surface. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 10 mins, or thickened slightly. Season to taste.
  5. Serve ribs drizzled with sauce.
