Cheeseburger Pie
- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pastry shell
- 8 slices processed American cheese
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/2 c. tomato sauce
- 1/3 c. chopped onion
- 1/3 c. chopped green pepper
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- chopped tomato
- shredded lettuce (optional)
- Preheat oven to 425u0b0.
- Bake pie shell 8 minutes.
- Remove from oven.
- Reduce oven to 350u0b0.
- Cut 6 slices cheese into pieces.
- In large skillet, brown meat; pour off fat.
- Add tomato sauce, pepper, onion and bouillon.
- Cook and stir until bouillon dissolves.
- Remove from heat; stir in eggs, flour and cheese pieces.
- Turn into prepared shell.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes. Arrange remaining cheese slices on top.
- Return to oven for 3 minutes.
- Garnish with tomato and lettuce, if desired.
