Burgers With Mashed Potatoes And Creamy Green Beans
- 500 g beef mince
- 1 None egg
- 30 g breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp oil
- 600 g frozen green beans
- 2 sachets (100g each) instant mashed potatoes
- 20 g butter
- 1 None onion, peeled and diced
- 1 clove garlic, peeled and crushed
- 150 ml creme fraiche
- 2 tbsp runny honey
- None None Pinch of chili flakes
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef, egg and breadcrumbs. Season. Divide into 8 patties. Heat the oil in a pan and cook the burgers over medium heat for 10 mins, turning several times.
- For the beans, bring salted water to a boil, add the green beans and cook for 10 mins. Meanwhile, heat the butter in a pan and saute the onion and garlic for 10 mins. Remove from the heat and stir in the creme fraiche (or sour cream, if using) and season. Drain the beans, reserving 2 cups of the water, then mix the beans with the sauce. Stir the instant mashed potato flakes into the reserved water.
- Remove the burgers from the pan and keep warm. Add the honey and chili flakes to the pan and heat. Place the burgers on serving plates and drizzle with the honey sauce. Serve with the mashed potatoes and beans.
