Cabbage Rolls
- 1/2 lb. pork sausage
- 1/2 c. uncooked rice
- 1 Tbsp. chopped onion
- 1/2 Tbsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. sage
- 1 c. cottage cheese
- 8 large cabbage leaves
- 1/2 c. cream of tomato soup
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- Saute sausage, rice and onion together in skillet, stirring often, about 5 minutes.
- Pour off fat.
- Cool, and add seasoning and cottage cheese.
- Drop cabbage leaves into boiling water for about 1 minute; drain.
- Divide rice mixture into four parts.
- Wrap each part in 2 cabbage leaves and fasten with a toothpick.
- Arrange in a 1-quart casserole.
- Mix soup, milk and sour cream together. Pour over cabbage rolls and bake, covered, at 350u0b0 for 1 1/4 hours.
- Yield:
- 4 servings.
