Sweet And Sour Pork
- 1 tbsp peanut oil
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 tbsp ginger, julienned
- 3 cloves crushed garlic
- 1 None finely chopped birdseye chili
- 1/4 None pineapple, peeled and chopped
- 1 None peeled, sliced carrot
- 1 None chopped green pepper
- None None steamed greens, steamed rice, to serve
- None None Sauce
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 1/4 cup shao hsing wine
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- Heat oil in a wok or large frying pan on high. Stir-fry ground pork 4-5 minutes, breaking up lumps, until browned. Add ginger, garlic and chili. Stir-fry 1 minute. Stir pineapple, carrot and pepper through. Stir-fry 2-3 minutes.
- To make the sauce, in a small bowl, combine all ingredients. Stir until sugar dissolves. Add sauce to wok and bring to simmer. Cook, stirring, 3-4 minutes. Serve.
