Banana Pineapple Salad
- 6 oz. pkg. orange gelatin
- 2 c. hot water
- 2 c. miniature marshmallows
- No 2 can crushed pineapple
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 c. pineapple juice
- 2 eggs
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 3 bananas
- 2 pkg. dry, whipped topping mix
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans or English walnuts
- Dissolve gelatin in hot water.
- Add marshmallows and chill. When mixture has set to the consistency of egg whites, stir in pineapple.
- Pour in a 13 x 9 pan and let jell.
- Mix sugar, flour, pineapple juice and eggs in saucepan, cook over low heat until thickened.
- Add cream cheese and stir until smooth.
- Fold in whipped topping mix prepared according to directions.
- Cool.
- When gelatin layer is set, slice bananas over top.
- Layer cream cheese mixture over that and top with nuts.
