Chocolate And Raisin Squares

  1. Preheat the oven to 325u0b0F. Grease and line a 12 x 8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, extending paper above long sides for handles.
  2. Combine the oats, flour, sugar and coconut in a large bowl.
  3. Place the butter and golden syrup in a small saucepan. Stir on low heat for 2-3 mins until melted.
  4. Combine 2 tbsp boiling water and baking soda in a small bowl. Stir into the butter mixture. Pour into the dry ingredients. Mix in the walnuts and raisins. Press the mixture very firmly into the prepared pan using a fork.
  5. Bake for 25-30 mins until golden. Cool in the pan.
  6. Spread the chocolate over the top. Refrigerate until firm. Using a hot knife, cut into squares. Store in an airtight container.
