Caramelized Apple Tarts

  1. Preheat oven to 400u0b0F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a frying pan, melt butter, sugar and cinnamon over low heat, stirring. Add apple, pear and craisins. Cook, stirring occasionally, until tender.
  3. Meanwhile, lay out 4 puff pastry discs on prepared tray. Brush edges with egg. Cut a 3 inch disc from the center of remaining puff pastry discs and lay over top.
  4. In a food processor, process walnuts, applesauce and lemon juice until a paste forms. Spread over bases then top with apple mixture. Bake for 10-15 mins, until golden brown.
  5. Serve with heavy cream.
