Baked Meatballs With Tomato Sauce

  1. Place ground beef, breadcrumbs, onions, garlic and oregano in a large bowl and season to taste. Mix well to combine. Roll mixture into 16 meatballs.
  2. Spray a large nonstick skillet with no stick cooking spray and heat on medium-high. Cook meatballs for 10 mins, until browned and cooked through.
  3. Preheat the broiler. Meanwhile, cook tomato puree in a saucepan for 5 mins, until heated through. Transfer meatballs to a greased baking dish. Pour tomato puree over top. Sprinkle with cheese.
  4. Broil for 5 mins, until cheese melts. Sprinkle with oregano leaves.
