Five Spice Pork Tenderloin
- 2 None shallots, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 4 None pears, each cut into 6 wedges
- 1 (1 1/2 inch) piece ginger, cut into matchsticks
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tsp Chinese five-spice powder
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 (2 lb) pork tenderloin, trimmed
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 3.5 oz yellow wax beans
- 3.5 oz baby green beans
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0F. Line a roasting pan with baking paper.
- Mix together shallots, garlic, pears, ginger, sugar, soy sauce and five-spice powder in prepared pan. Drizzle with 2 tbsp oil and toss to combine. Roast for 20 mins, or until pears are just soft.
- Meanwhile rub pork with 2 tsp oil then roll in sesame seeds. Heat remaining oil in an ovenproof frying pan over medium heat. Sear pork on all sides. Transfer pan to oven and roast for 12 mins, or until cooked to your liking. Cover pork with foil and let rest for 5 mins.
- Meanwhile boil, steam or microwave wax beans and green beans for 3 mins, or until just tender. Drain.
- Serve sliced pork with roasted pear mixture, sauce and beans.
