Cincinnati Chili

  1. In a 4-quart saucepot, add ground beef and water.
  2. Stir until beef separates to a fine texture.
  3. Boil for 1/2 hour.
  4. Add all ingredients and bring to a boil, uncovered.
  5. Stir to blend.
  6. Reduce heat and simmer, still uncovered, for 3 hours.
  7. During last hour, pot may be covered, if it has reached desired consistency.
  8. Makes 8 servings.
