Lower Fat Spaghetti Pie
- 1/2 lb. spaghetti, uncooked
- 1/3 c. Parmesan cheese
- 3 egg whites
- Pam or Mazola spray
- 8 oz. fat-free cottage cheese
- 1/2 lb. 85% or leaner hamburger
- sliced onions, green pepper or mushrooms (as desired)
- 1 pkg. spaghetti sauce mix, prepared as directed or 2 c. premixed
- 1/4 c. shredded Mozzarella
- Cook and drain pasta; remove 1 cup.
- Toss rest with Parmesan cheese and egg whites.
- Turn into sprayed 10-inch pie plate and press to form crust.
- Spread cottage cheese on top.
- Brown hamburger and drain well.
- Stir in 1 cup spaghetti and spaghetti sauce.
- Spoon meat over cottage cheese.
- Top with onions, peppers and mushrooms, as desired.
- Cover loosely with greased foil and bake at 350u0b0 for 20 minutes.
- Sprinkle with shredded cheese.
- Bake 10 minutes longer, uncovered.
