Indonesian Gado Gado

  1. Place new potatoes in a large saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil and cook for 8-10 mins. Add sweet potato and cook for 5 mins, until tender. Drain and transfer to a platter.
  2. Meanwhile, blanch green beans for 30 seconds then rinse under cold running water. Add beans to platter with bean sprouts, remaining vegetables and eggs.
  3. Gently heat satay sauce, peanut butter, stock, sambal olek and garlic, stirring, until smooth. Bring to a simmer then remove from heat. Add kecap manis and lime juice. Drizzle over vegetables.
