Sirloin Steaks With Potato Gratin

  1. Preheat the oven to 325u0b0F. Heat 1 tbsp of the oil in a small saucepan on medium heat. Saute the onion for 2-3 mins, until softened. Add the cream and season with salt and a pinch of nutmeg. Bring to a simmer.
  2. Arrange the potato slices in an 8-inch square baking dish. Pour the cream mixture over the top. Bake for 40 mins, until golden.
  3. Season the steaks with salt and black pepper. Heat remaining 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet on high heat. Cook the steaks for 3-4 mins on each side. Transfer to a serving platter. Cover with foil and let stand for 5 mins. Add the tomatoes to the skillet and saute on medium heat for 1 min. Season with salt and black pepper.
  4. Arrange the steaks and potato gratin on serving plates. Top with the tomatoes and arugula.
