Cauliflower And Ham Gratin

  1. Preheat oven to 400u0b0F. Place 4 individual shallow baking dishes on a baking tray.
  2. To make the sauce, melt butter in a medium saucepan over high heat. Add flour and cook, stirring, for 1 min. Gradually stir in milk. Cook, stirring, until sauce boils. Simmer for 3 mins then add cheese and thyme. Season to taste.
  3. Meanwhile, cook pasta in boiling salted water until al dente. Drain. Blanch cauliflower in boiling salted water for 5 mins. Drain and set aside. Return pasta and cauliflower to pan.
  4. Add sauce to pasta and cauliflower. Add ham, peas and onions. Distribute between baking dishes.
  5. Combine breadcrumbs, cheese and chili. Sprinkle over pasta and bake for 15-20 mins, or until golden brown. Serve hot.
