Fruit Punch With Breadsticks
- 250 g flour
- 1 tsp sugar
- 7 g dried yeast
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp olive oil + 1 tsp for brushing
- 2 None kiwi fruit, peeled and sliced
- 200 g cherries, stoned
- 2 None nectarines, stoned removed and cut into chunks
- 500 g watermelon, cut into thick slices
- 250 ml cherry juice
- 250 ml apple juice
- 1 None lemon, juiced
- 1/2-3/4 litre mineral water
- To make the pastry, mix the flour with the yeast, sugar and salt in a bowl. Add 3 tablespoons of the oil and 1/2 cup of lukewarm water, and mix in a food processor with a dough hook. Next, knead the mixture with your hands until the dough is smooth. Cover the bowl and put in a warm place for about 45 minutes.
- Put the prepared fruit in a large bowl. Pour over the juices and refrigerate.
- To make the breadsticks, take the dough out of the bowl and knead, then divide into 8 pieces. Roll each piece into a long, thin strip of about 1 foot long, then wrap each one around a wooden skewer and refrigerate for about 15 mins.
- Brush the pastry skewers with a little olive oil, then put them under the broiler on medium heat for 12-15 mins, turning. Meanwhile, add the mineral water to the fruit and juice. Serve the fruit salad with a breadstick on the side
