Honey, Cinnamon And Brown Butter Breakfast Bars
- 8 tbsp (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 4 cups puffed millet cereal
- 1/2 cup rice flour
- 1 cup flaked coconut
- 1 can dried apple pieces, coarsely chopped
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 None eggs
- Preheat the oven to 325u0b0F. Line a 12 x 8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter in a small saucepan on medium heat. Reduce heat to low; simmer until browned with a nutty fragrance. Set aside to cool.
- Mix the puffed millet, rice flour, shredded coconut, apple pieces and cinnamon in a large bowl.
- Once the butter has cooled, whisk in the honey and eggs. Add to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined. Spoon into the prepared pan, pressing down evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 mins or until golden on top. Cool completely before slicing into bars.
