Apple-Almond Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0F. Lightly grease and line an 8 inch cake pan. Sift flour and spices into a large bowl. Add sugar and ground almonds. Combine cream, eggs, and vanilla then fold in. Fold in apple. Transfer to prepared pan, sprinkle with sliced almonds and bake for around 1 hour, until a skewer comes out clean.
  2. Let cool in pan for 5 mins then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar. Serve with whipped cream.
