Breakfast Delight(6 To 8 Servings)
- 12 slices crustless bread
- 2 1/4 c. sharp shredded cheese
- 3/4 c. Swiss cheese, shredded
- 1/2 lb. shredded ham or bacon
- 1 small onion, chopped fine
- 1/4 c. green pepper, chopped fine
- 5 eggs
- 2 1/4 c. milk
- salt and pepper
- 3/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 3/4 tsp. dry mustard
- In large bowl beat eggs, milk, salt, pepper, nutmeg and dry mustard.
- In 9 x 13-inch pan, greased, lay 6 slices of bread. Sprinkle half of both cheeses evenly on top of bread, then all the meat.
- Put the next 6 slices on top of meat, then rest of the cheese.
- Sprinkle onion and green pepper on top.
- After egg mixture is beaten together, pour evenly over first part. Refrigerate overnight or may be frozen for a later time.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
- If frozen, about 20 minutes longer.
