Chicken Stroganoff
- 2 lb. chicken breast
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 large onion
- 1/4 c. sliced mushrooms
- 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 8 oz. whipping cream
- 1 c. cooking wine
- salt
- pepper
- 2 Tbsp. ketchup
- 3 Tbsp. spaghetti sauce
- 1 c. water
- Saute chopped onion in butter until cooked.
- Add cubed pieces of chicken; season with salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and wine.
- Cover and let cook for 15 minutes.
- Stir in spaghetti sauce and ketchup.
- Dissolve all-purpose flour in 1 cup of water.
- Add to chicken, stirring until thickened.
- Stir in sliced mushrooms. Let simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in whipping cream.
- Serve with rice.
