Vegemite Pinwheels

  1. Preheat the oven to 400u0b0F. Grease a 12 x 8-inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the sifted flour and sugar in a medium bowl. Rub in the butter. Stir in the milk and mix to a soft sticky dough.
  3. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead lightly until smooth. Roll the dough out between two sheets of floured parchment paper to a 16 x 11-inch rectangle. Spread the Vegemite over the dough and sprinkle with cheese. Starting from a long side, roll the dough up firmly; trim the ends. Using an oiled serrated knife, cut the roll into 12 slices. Place the pinwheels, cut-side up, in a single layer, in the prepared pan.
  4. Bake for about 30 mins. Serve the pinwheels warm.
