Berry Turnovers

  1. Preheat the oven to 400u0b0F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Drain berries on paper towels. Mix berries and jam in medium small bowl.
  2. Cut each pastry sheet into 3 equal strips (a total 12 rectangles). For each turnover, brush pastry strip with a little egg. Place pastry strip with short edge closest to you. Spoon 1 tbsp berry mixture onto 1 corner of strip. Fold opposite corner diagonally over filling to shape a triangle. Continue folding up strip, keeping triangle shape. Seal edge. Place turnovers on prepared pans. Brush with remaining egg; sprinkle with almonds.
  3. Bake for 20 mins or until golden and puffed. Cool on wire racks.
  4. Whisk pudding and orange peel in a small bowl. Combine powdered sugar and 1 1/2 tsp water in a small bowl. Spoon icing into a small resealable plastic bag. Cut off a small corner; pipe icing over turnovers. Let stand to set. Serve with pudding.
