Chocolate Cherry Cake

  1. Preheat the oven to 350u0b0F. Grease a 14 x 10-inch baking pan; line bottom and long sides with parchment paper, extending paper 2 inches over sides.
  2. Combine cake mix, oil, 2 1/2 cups water, chocolate, sugar, eggs and sifted dry ingredients in large bowl; beat on low speed with electric mixer until ingredients are combined. Increase speed to medium; beat about 3 mins or until mixture is smooth and paler in color. Stir in cherries. Pour mixture into prepared pan.
  3. Bake 1-1 1/4 hours until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 mins. Remove from pan; cool completely on wire rack.
  4. Meanwhile, for the chocolate satin icing, stir chocolate and butter in medium saucepan on low heat until smooth. Stir in sour cream. Refrigerate 5 mins or until icing is spreadable. Spread cake with icing.
