Steamed Mushroom Wontons
- 4 oz shiitake mushrooms, finely chopped
- 4 oz oyster mushrooms, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh Thai basil
- 2 None spring onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tsp sweet soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 20 None wonton wrappers
- None None soy sauce, to serve
- For the filling, combine mushrooms, basil, spring onions, sweet soy sauce and garlic in a bowl.
- Using a 3 inch cutter, cut rounds from each wonton wrapper. Place 2 tsp mushroom mixture in center of each round. Brush edges with water. Fold in half to form a semicircle. Pleat or pinch edges together to seal.
- Line a large bamboo steamer with parchment paper. Transfer wontons to steamer. Place over a pan of gently boiling water. Steam, covered, 4-5 mins, until translucent and tender. Serve immediately with soy sauce.
