Baked Penne With Beef And Tomatoes
- 10 oz penne pasta
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 None onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 (16 oz) jar pasta sauce
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
- 1 cup ricotta
- None None salad and crusty bread, to serve
- Preheat oven to 400u0b0F. Lightly grease a 10 cup ovenproof dish.
- Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water according to package instructions. Drain well. Return to pot.
- Heat the oil in a separate saucepan and cook the onion and garlic until softened. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking up any large pieces with a wooden spoon. Stir in pasta sauce and parsley and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 mins, or until thickened slightly.
- Add sauce and mozzarella to pasta and mix well. Spoon mixture into prepared dish and sprinkle with ricotta. Bake for 20-25 mins, until golden. Serve with salad and crusty bread.
