Brownies
- 1/2 c. oil
- 2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1/2 c. applesauce
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 3/4 c. powdered sugar
- 3 tsp. melted butter
- 3 tsp. cocoa
- 3 tsp. cream or milk
- Melt on heat slowly oil and chocolate; set aside.
- Combine sugar, eggs, applesauce and vanilla.
- In separate bowl, sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt.
- Add sugar mixture to dry ingredients.
- Add melted chocolate mixture.
- Beat well.
- Pour into 9 x 13-inch greased baking dish.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
- Cool.
- Mix powdered sugar, butter, cocoa and cream or milk.
- Spread over cooled brownies.
