Pistachio Cakes With Chocolate Filling
- 6 tsp Nutella spread
- 1/2 cup pistachios, finely ground
- 3/4 cup self-rising flour
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 3 None egg whites
- 7 tbsp butter, melted
- None None powdered sugar, for dusting
- Distribute Nutella between 4 recesses of an ice cube tray. Freeze for 1-2 hours, until firm.
- Preheat oven to 325u0b0F. Grease 4 - 7 oz individual ramekins and line bases with parchment paper.
- Combine flour, sugar and a pinch of salt. Whip egg whites until foamy then mix into dry ingredients along with ground pistachios and butter until a paste forms. Distribute between prepared ramekins then push Nutella cubes into the centers. Bake for 30-35 mins, until just firm to the touch. Loosen edges with a knife and transfer to serving plates. Serve dusted with powdered sugar.
