Stroganoff Sandwich
- 1 unsliced loaf French bread
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/4 c. chopped green onions
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1 tsp. milk
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 tomatoes, sliced
- 1 green pepper, cut into rings
- 1 c. shredded cheese
- butter or margarine
- Cut loaf of bread lengthwise; wrap in foil and heat at 375u0b0 for 10 to 15 minutes.
- In a skillet cook beef with onion until brown. Drain, stir in sour cream, milk, Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder.
- Add 3/4 teaspoon salt.
- Heat but do not boil.
- Remove bread from oven.
- Scoop out some of the middle, pour meat mixture into bread.
- Top with shredded cheese, then heat until cheese is melted.
- Once out of oven add tomato and green pepper rings.
- Slice and serve while still warm.
