Mexicali Burgers
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 None onion, chopped
- 1 oz taco seasoning mix
- 1 None long red chili, deseeded, chopped
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 None avocado, pitted, peeled, chopped
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 1 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
- 4 None burger buns, toasted
- 4 tbsp tomato salsa
- 1 cup baby arugula
- For the burgers, combine ground beef, onion, taco seasoning and chili. Shape into 4 patties. Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Cook burgers for 4-5 mins per side, or until cooked to your liking.
- Meanwhile, for the avocado spread, combine avocado, sour cream and cilantro. Season. Spread over bottom buns. Top with a burger, salsa and arugula. Sandwich together with top buns. Serve.
