Cinnamon Rolls
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 4 c. flour
- 2 small cakes yeast
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
- 1/3 c. sugar
- melted butter
- nut meats, raisins, crushed pineapple (optional)
- Scald milk and cool to lukewarm.
- Crumble yeast in mixing bowl.
- Add 1 tablespoon sugar and half the milk and mix well.
- Add well beaten eggs.
- Cream margarine with remaining sugar and salt and add to first mixture.
- Add flour and milk alternately.
- Knead well.
- Place in greased bowl and let rise until double in bulk. Place on floured board and let stand 10 minutes.
- Roll out and spread with melted butter.
- Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon cinnamon and 1/3 cup sugar.
- You can add raisins or drained crushed pineapple or nuts.
- Roll up like jelly roll and cut in 2-inch slices and place in greased pan, cut side up.
- Bake at 425u0b0 for 5 minutes.
- Reduce to 350u0b0 and bake 20 minutes.
