Chocolate Berry Shortcake Stack

  1. Preheat the oven to 400u0b0F. Line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Beat butter and sugar in a large bowl with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add flour, chocolate and milk. Mix to form a firm dough.
  3. Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut out 12 rounds with a 3 1/2 inch cookie cutter. Place on prepared pan.
  4. Bake for 8-10 mins, until crisp and golden. Cool in pan 5 mins. Remove from pan; cool completely on wire rack.
  5. For each shortcake stack, spread mascarpone on 1 shortcake. Top with berries and a second shortcake. Dust with cocoa powder.
