Chocolate Fudge Cake
- 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- 8 tbsp (1 stick) butter, chopped
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup self-rising flour
- 4 None eggs, lightly beaten
- None None Unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting (optional)
- Preheat the oven to 350u0b0F. Grease and line a 12 x 8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, extending paper above long sides for handles.
- Stir chocolate and butter in a medium heatproof bowl over a medium saucepan of simmering water (do not allow the water to touch base of bowl) until melted. Cool.
- Add remaining ingredients to bowl. Beat on low speed with electric mixer until combined. Increase speed to medium and beat about 3 mins or until mixture is smooth and changed to a paler color. Pour mixture into prepared pan.
- Bake about 30 mins until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool in pan 5 mins. Remove from pan; cool completely on wire rack. Serve dusted with sifted cocoa powder, if desired.
