Whole Wheat Bread Loaves

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon honey and let set until foamy, 5 to 10 minutes.
  3. Scald milk and remove from heat; stir in remainder of honey, salt and butter.
  4. Cool to lukewarm.
  5. Add yeast mixture and beaten eggs to milk.
  6. Stir in 3 cups wheat or graham flour and enough all-purpose flour to make a medium stiff dough.
  7. On a lightly floured surface, knead dough about 10 minutes.
  8. Place in well greased bowl; turn dough to coat surface.
  9. Cover and let rise in warm place until doubled, about 60 to 90 minutes.
  10. Punch down and turn out on a lightly floured surface.
  11. Divide in half.
  12. Place in well greased loaf pans.
  13. Let rise again, about 60 minutes.
  14. Bake in 350u0b0 oven for 45 minutes or until loaves test done.
  15. Remove from pans.
