Beef And Chutney Rolls
- 1/2 cup self-rising flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 3 1/2 tbsp butter, chilled and cubed
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2/3 cup tomato chutney
- 4.25 oz roast beef, sliced
- 3 oz cheddar cheese, grated
- Preheat oven to 400u0b0F. Line 2 baking trays with parchment paper. Sift together flour, baking powder and 1 tsp salt. Cut in butter until it resembles coarse breadcrumbs. Add milk and mix until combined. Turn out onto a floured surface and knead until smooth. Divide into 2 portions and roll each portion into a 10 x 12 inch rectangle.
- Spread 1/2 the chutney evenly over dough. Top with beef and cheese. Tightly roll each rectangle, from long side, into a log then slice each log into 12 pieces. Place spirals, cut side up, on prepared pans. Bake for 15 mins, or until cheese has melted and spirals are golden.
- Serve with remaining chutney.
