Pea Pods With Beef

  1. Slice steak against grain into 1/4 x 3-inch strips.
  2. Mix with soy sauce.
  3. In skillet over high heat, cook garlic in oil.
  4. Add steak and stir-fry for 1 minute.
  5. Remove from pan.
  6. Sprinkle salt over pan; add pea pods and celery; stir-fry 2 minutes.
  7. Stir in 1/2 cup water, pepper and sugar.
  8. Cover.
  9. Cook over medium heat for 3 minutes.
  10. Add steak; sprinkle with wine and stir-fry 30 seconds.
  11. Blend cornstarch and 2 tablespoons water; add to skillet.
  12. Cook 1 minute or until sauce thickens.
