Sweet And Sour Pork
- 1 (8 oz) can pineapple pieces in natural juice, drained, 2 tbsp juice reserved
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp white vinegar
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (1 lb) pork tenderloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 None red onion, coarsely chopped
- 1 None red pepper, seeded, coarsely chopped
- 2 stalk celery, thickly sliced
- None None steamed rice, to serve
- Combine reserved pineapple juice, soy sauce, tomato sauce, vinegar, sugar and garlic.
- Toss pork with cornstarch, shaking off excess. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a wok or frying pan over high heat. Stir-fry pork, in batches, for 3 mins, or until browned. Transfer to a plate.
- Add remaining oil to wok. Stir-fry onion, pepper and celery for 3 mins, or until tender. Return pork to wok along with pineapple pieces and sauce. Stir-fry for 1 min, or until heated through. Serve with rice.
