Spicy Apple And Blackberry Crumble

  1. Preheat the oven to 325u0b0F. For the crumble topping, rub the flour, almonds, brown sugar, spices and butter together to form crumbs.
  2. For the fruit filling, bring wine, apple juice, Calvados, granulated sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon to a boil in a large saucepan. Add apples; cover and return to a boil. Reduce heat to low; simmer for 5 mins. Uncover and simmer for 5 more mins to reduce the liquid. Remove from the heat and add the berries. Remove the cinnamon stick. Spoon the fruit into 6 small baking dishes (or 1 large dish) and top with crumble.
  3. Bake for 30-40 mins, or until the crumble is golden.
  4. Dust with powdered sugar. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
