Cheese And Vegetable Turnovers

  1. Preheat the oven to 400u0b0F. Lightly grease 2 baking sheets.
  2. Place the chard in a bowl of boiling water for 5 seconds until wilted. Transfer to a bowl of iced water. Drain well and dry on paper towels.
  3. Mix chard, vegetables, cheese, onion and bacon (if using) in a large bowl. Season to taste. Cut each sheet of pastry into 4 squares. Spoon 2 tbsp vegetable mixture onto each pastry square. Brush edges with egg. Fold over to form triangles. Use a fork to seal edges. Place on prepared pans. Brush each triangle with egg.
  4. Bake for 15-20 mins until golden. Serve with salad.
