Cheese And Vegetable Turnovers
- 8 leaves chard, chopped
- 2 1/2 cups frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
- 2 cups grated Cheddar cheese
- 1 None large onion, chopped
- 2 slices cooked bacon, chopped (optional)
- 6 sheets frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 1 None egg, lightly beaten
- None None Salad, to serve
- Preheat the oven to 400u0b0F. Lightly grease 2 baking sheets.
- Place the chard in a bowl of boiling water for 5 seconds until wilted. Transfer to a bowl of iced water. Drain well and dry on paper towels.
- Mix chard, vegetables, cheese, onion and bacon (if using) in a large bowl. Season to taste. Cut each sheet of pastry into 4 squares. Spoon 2 tbsp vegetable mixture onto each pastry square. Brush edges with egg. Fold over to form triangles. Use a fork to seal edges. Place on prepared pans. Brush each triangle with egg.
- Bake for 15-20 mins until golden. Serve with salad.
