Sloppy Joe Pie
- 1 to 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 8 oz. can whole kernel corn, drained
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 pkg. Sloppy Joe mix
- 10 oz. can Hungry Jack biscuits
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1/3 c. corn meal
- 4 oz. (1 c.) shredded Cheddar cheese
- Heat oven to 375u0b0.
- Brown ground beef and onion, drain.
- Stir in tomato sauce, corn, water and seasoning mix.
- Heat meat mixture until hot and bubbly.
- Reduce heat and simmer, separate biscuit, flatten, dip in milk, then cornmeal.
- Spread in pie dish, around sides, then the bottom.
- Biscuits will cook together to form crust. Sprinkle half of cheese on bottom and pour beef mixture on biscuits.
- Sprinkle rest of cheese over top of mixture.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes.
- Cool mixture.
