Overnight-Layered Green Salad
- 1 medium head lettuce
- 1/2 c. thinly sliced green onions
- 1 c. thinly sliced celery
- 1 can sliced water chestnuts
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
- 2 c. mayonnaise
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 3 hard-cooked eggs
- 1/2 to 3/4 c. crumbled chopped crisp-fried bacon
- 2 medium tomatoes in wedges
- Shred lettuce and place in shallow serving dish (9 x 13-inch). Top with green onions, celery and water chestnuts.
- Open frozen peas, break peas apart and sprinkle over layers.
- Spread mayonnaise evenly over top and sprinkle with sugar, Parmesan cheese, seasoning salt and garlic powder (mix these 4 ingredients together).
- Cover and chill overnight.
- Before serving, sprinkle with 3 hard-cooked eggs and chopped and crumbled bacon.
- Cut tomatoes in wedges and place over the top.
