Barbecued Pork With Asian Greens
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp Chinese barbecue sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sherry
- 1/2 tsp Chinese five-spice powder
- 1 None pork tenderloin (about 1 1/2 lbs)
- None None FOR THE ASIAN GREENS
- 2 tbsp peanut oil
- 1 bunch gai lan, chopped into 2-inch lengths
- 2 bunches broccolini, chopped into 2-inch lengths
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 None green onions, sliced
- 1 None long red chili pepper, thinly sliced
- Combine sauces, sherry and spice in a shallow dish. Add pork tenderloin, turning to coat in marinade. Cover and refrigerate 3 hours or overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 350u0b0F. Drain pork, reserving marinade. Place pork in a greased baking pan.
- Bake for 25-30 mins, basting with marinade every 10 mins, until cooked to desired doneness. Let stand, loosely covered with foil, 5 mins, then slice thickly.
- For the Asian greens, heat oil in a wok or large skillet on high heat. Stir-fry gai lan and broccolini for 1-2 mins until tender. Add sauces and onion; stir-fry for 1 min until heated through. Serve sliced pork with greens, and rice, if desired.
