Egg Nog Punch(Good For Holidays!)
- 6 egg whites
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 6 egg yolks
- 1/2 c. Karo dark corn syrup
- 1/2 pt. half and half cream
- 1/4 c. light rum
- 1 pt. vanilla ice cream
- In large bowl with mixer at high speed, beat 6 egg whites until foamy.
- Gradually beat in 1/4 cup sugar until stiff peaks form.
- In small bowl with mixer at medium-low speed, beat the 6 egg yolks and 1/2 cup Karo syrup about 5 minutes or until thick and lemon colored.
- Add 1/2 pint half and half cream.
- Beat until well mixed.
- Fold into egg white mixture.
- If desired, stir in 1/4 cup dark or light rum.
- Cover and refrigerate.
- Place 1 pint vanilla ice cream in punch bowl.
- Pour egg nog mixture over ice cream.
- Sprinkle with nutmeg.
- Makes 24 half-cup servings.
