Microwave Greek-Style Beef In Pita
- 6 oz. cooked, lean beef, sliced 1/4-inch thick
- 1 tsp. olive oil
- 1/2 small green bell pepper, cut into thin strips
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 1 loaf pita bread, cut in half and warmed
- 1/4 c. chopped tomato
- 1 Tbsp. crumbled Feta cheese
- Cut sliced beef into strips, 1 x 2-inches.
- Combine oil, green pepper, garlic, oregano, salt and pepper in 8-inch microwave-safe baking dish.
- Microwave at High 2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute.
- Add beef strips, stirring to combine.
- Microwave on High for 2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute.
- Place equal amount of meat mixture in each pita half.
- Sprinkle with tomato and cheese.
