Sweet And Sour Shrimp

  1. Mix together the vinegar and rice wine, slowly adding the sugar to taste and stirring constantly.
  2. The mixture should have a sweet but sour taste.
  3. Remove the shells from the shrimp; devein if you prefer.
  4. Heat up oil in a pan.
  5. Add shrimp or chicken when pan is hot; cook until done.
  6. Reduce heat.
  7. Pour vinegar mixture into pan; stir well.
  8. Mix cornstarch and water; slowly pour into pan to thicken mixture.
  9. Stir until bubbles (you may not need all of thickener).
  10. Add green onions just before serving.
  11. Serve with or over rice.
  12. Makes 3 to 4 servings.
